I spent four years studying drawing and sculpture at the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD) where I completed my BFA in 1997. After graduation I began teaching Extended Studies drawing classes at ACAD as well as running full time drawing classes at North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre. I’ve been teaching on and off for the last 14 years. My interest in digital art and animation has lead me back to the foundation of where, and why I began drawing in the first place: Monsters and Robots! I love cartoons. I’ve always loved to draw strange and magical characters. I ended up leaving Calgary to move to Victoria in 2007 where I now work full time as a character designer and animator for DJ Arts Games. I’m very lucky to be able to make my living drawing what I love.
Aside from my day job creating monsters, I often take on freelance illustration work (when I can cram it into my schedule). Board game design, gig posters, t-shirt logos, magazine illustrations and web graphics are some of the examples of projects I have worked on in the last decade. If you have any interest in hiring me to illustrate a project for you, please contact me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
The portfolio of images I’ve included on this site are from a variety of different times and places. Thanks for checking out my work. I look forward to hearing from you!
